Word of the Week - Light
This is a word I received from my good friend Jesse May that I wanted to pass along. Have a great week and let the light of Christ shine through!!!!
Matthew 5:16 "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Thought for the Week: "Imagine walking into a pitch-black room. What would you do? Pray against the darkness? Curse it with some well-chosen declarations? Vainly search for some sort of anti-dark weapon? Or would you simply reach for the light switch and turn it on?Spiritually, we’re called to oppose the kingdom of darkness, and we’re told to stand firm, put on our armor, and wield the weapons of truth. But we also have to remember that we’re citizens of the kingdom of light. So how does a citizen of light oppose the darkness? We shine. In the natural and the spiritual, light overcomes darkness every single time.If you want to be like God, you’ll oppose the kingdom of darkness relentlessly. But the primary way you’ll oppose it is to shine brilliantly. By nature, you overcome when you show up and be who you truly are. Yes, speak truth and refuse to be deceived. Don’t be ignorant of spiritual assaults against your calling. But most of all, turn on the light you’ve been given and let it burn brightly. No darkness can withstand the light of God; and the light of God is burning within you. (Chris Tiegreen)-Duane
