Heritage Forum Spouse Event
The Heritage Forum Spouse Event is a 3-day retreat at the beautiful Pursell Farms in Sylacauga, Alabama. This retreat is a unique opportunity for high-capacity leaders to come together with their spouses and engage in guided teaching sessions, small group discussions, fireside chats, social hours, recreation, and 5-star meals all centered around one theme: living a purposeful life of significance and building an intentional family Heritage that produces a Godly legacy for generations to come.
This retreat is a special time of connection for you and your spouse that encourages an escape from the busyness of everyday life, leaving behind all distractions to fully immerse in this experience together. You will be greeted by green rolling hills, beautiful property views, and a cozy Inn suite at the Pursell Farms lodge. Our carefully curated agenda includes an intimate date night, flexible connection time, thought-provoking lessons, small group fellowship, and more. Our hope is that you leave feeling refreshed, encouraged, and realigned as you and your spouse take on your next meaningful steps together towards generational purpose. All in all, this forum’s goal is to create a safe, nurturing environment for couples to grow, as well as share their mission, vision, and core values in order to leave a Kingdom impact & lasting legacy.
“Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.” -Deuteronomy 7:9
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord whose confidence is in him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” – Jeremiah 17:7-8
What does date night look like?
Date night includes a specially curated 3-course meal with drink service by candlelight, and quality time to enjoy your significant other. Connect and relax with your spouse while enjoying some small gestures from the Heritage Forum team along the way to make your night special and memorable.

Yes, we do have a curriculum we follow presented by Family ID, a ministry centered around empowering families (see below). However, there is also lots of time for socializing, connecting with those in your group, and one-on-one connection time with your spouse. Although we will be diving into some extremely valuable content, there is also time for digesting and enjoying the experience.

About Family ID — What is it and how does it benefit me?
Family ID is a ministry inspired by helping families engage, restore, and grow together. They provide a spouse-centered workshop and assessment that will help you hone-in on your Vision, Mission, and Values as it pertains to your family and legacy. We partner with Family ID during our Heritage Forum Spouse event to bring you specific and specialized content targeted to help you succeed.
Family ID’s assessment portion is a unique tool they use to help families with personal and relational growth by exploring the distinctiveness of your family’s culture and collective personalities. During this workshop, you will utilize this assessment along with digesting valuable content that refers to 4 fundamental principles: Identity, Purpose, Direction, and Application.
