Word of the Week - Immanuel

"The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel" (which means "God with us").  Matthew 1:23

This is the true gift of Christmas – Christ.  It is amazing that God sent His only begotten son Jesus down to be the ultimate sacrifice so we can have salvation, but He did not stop there.  Jesus came to this earth to be “with us” in the flesh and He remains “with us” in the good times and through the challenging times on this brief journey of life on earth.  Not only is He “with us” but if we invite Him, He lives “within us” and we can experience the manifest presence of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.  Under the new covenant established through Jesus birth, death and resurrection, we as followers of Christ are the temple of God’s Spirit.  Oh come, Oh come Immanuel!!!!!!!  And let’s Rejoice because God is “with us” and “within us”.  This is definitely a reason to Rejoice and give thanks to God on this special day of Christmas.

Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!!!
